Carer Gateway is a national support service funded by the Australian Government. It provides free, local services and supports to carers. Carer Gateway services are designed for carers, by carers to help build skills and reduce strain ensuring they are in the best emotional space for their important caring role.
Wellways provides Carer Gateway services throughout Queensland and the New South Wales regions of South West Sydney and Nepean Blue Mountains.
Carer Gateway services are available to carers who support family members or friends with a disability, mental health condition, chronic health condition, terminal illness, or who are frail aged.
You don't need to be a new carer to use Carer Gateway services and accessing Carer Gateway does not impact any government assistance a carer may already be receiving – any carer can use the services at any time in their caring journey.
Is English a second language?
You can access a range of services and supports in languages other than English including Punjabi, Hindi, Khmer, Vietnamese, Arabic, Mandarin, Cantonese, Cambodian and Korean.
