Matthew is an advocate for lived experience and holds a position in lived experience leadership at Mental Health Lived Experience Tasmania (MHLET), where he played a role in the co-production of a Lived Experience Engagement Framework, developed for Primary Health Tasmania. Matthew is dedicated to consumer protection and increasing awareness to promote change in the therapeutic value of justice. He is also a member of the Statewide Mental Health Service (SMHS) Legal Compliance and Policy Management Committee, as well as the Mental Health Act (2013) Reform Project–Legislative Working Group.
