Carers across South West Sydney and Nepean Blue Mountains can now access helpful services in a range of languages. Receiving support in your own language can have a significant impact on your overall wellbeing.

Carer Gateway is a national support service funded by the Australian Government providing free, local services and supports to carers. If you provide unpaid care for a loved one, you may be a carer and there is support available for you. No matter what your caring role looks like, Carer Gateway is here to help.

Translation services and resources

If you are more comfortable having a conversation in a language other than English, you can use the Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS).

TIS is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and is accessible from anywhere in Australia for the cost of a local call on 131 450. TIS can translate in more than 150 languages.
