Our Approach to housing and homelessness

At Wellways, we believe that housing is:

  • A human right
  • A source of health and wellbeing
  • Essential to supporting connection.

We understand people experiencing homelessness are the experts in their housing and recovery journey and that everyone’s journey will differ. Therefore, we will work to understand the individual’s support needs and tailor housing and support interventions accordingly.

We believe in real homes in real communities, assisting people to develop skills and supports they deem important to sustain a meaningful life beyond the service system, and create opportunities for people to fully participate in the community.

We will support people to access housing options that align with their needs and ensure individuals are provided every opportunity to participate in the community in a meaningful way.
