About Carer Gateway

Carer Gateway is a national support service funded by the Australian Government. It provides free, local services and supports for carers. Wellways delivers Carer Gateway services across Queensland, and in the New South Wales regions of South West Sydney and Nepean Blue Mountains.

If you provide support for someone close to you, such as a family member or friend with a disability, a medical condition, mental illness or who is frail due to age, you can get help and support.

Any carer can register to receive services at any stage of their caring journey, and doing so will not affect any existing government support.

Available supports

Designed by carers for carers, these support programs aim to enhance skills, alleviate strain, and empower carers with the emotional wellbeing they need to flourish and become the best version of themselves.
